Turning a new leaf…

We are now live with the new t’ai chi room logo, and with that I’m turning a new leaf!

As current students will know, I have been running T’ai Chi classes for 18 years in Witney now. It’s been my hobby and passion to be sharing this fascinating exercise system, with all its references to symbolism and ancient Chinese philosophy. It’s been a wonderful oasis for me on a personal level. I always thank students at the end of class for sharing the T’ai Chi as we run our Closing Circle - that’s because it enriches me so much when I’m teaching. It’s been wonderful to lean into T’ai Chi practice as I have run a busy home with three children and a commuting husband, alongside a very deadline-focussed events business.

So where’s the new leaf, I hear you ask?

In 2020 I launched my coaching business, aym coaching. What I have come to realise is that there is so much synergy between T’ai Chi and wellbeing coaching. Across both of these businesses I am helping clients manage their stresses better; build their confidence; and develop headspace for clarity and improved focus. If we just take the T’ai Chi symbol and consider for a moment how the T’ai Chi principles of slowing down, letting go, appreciating that change is constant, not meeting force with force, being open to influences yet strong in our own convictions… All of these principles are applicable in Life! And support good life/ lifestyle choices.

My new leaf is right here in this space I have just described. I’m consolidating everything I have learned about wellbeing and sharing those gems - just in different channels.

In our new t’ai chi room logo, branding and website, I am aligning everything I do on the T’ai Chi side with my wellbeing coaching.

And interesting to note that AYM stands for ‘Align Your Mindset’ - so now I’m Walking my Talk ;)

My thanks to a few students who have both test-driven some of my wellbeing coaching exercises, and also given their feedback as I have been developing the new t’ai chi room logo. I appreciate you!
